Year of the Dragon: A Concert of Traditional Chinese Music

Parma-Snow Branch, Cuyahoga County Public Library
2121 Snow Road (between State and Broadview)

Parma, Ohio
Free; registration required (see below for registration information)

Join the Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble as they perform a selection of traditional Chinese melodies, including several pieces about dragons, in honor of the current Year of the Dragon.

The ensemble's instruments include dizi and xiao (bamboo flutes), suona and guan (oboes), sheng (mouth organ), gaohu, zhonghu, and yehu (2-stringed fiddles), pipa (pear-shaped lute), yueqin (moon lute), guzheng (zither), gongs, drums, and other percussion instruments.

The event, which will be held in the Library's Meeting Room, is free, but prior registration is required.
