Suburban Symphony is presently conducting a search for a principal
trombonist.
The Suburban Symphony is a community orchestra, comprised of some 70 amateur
musicians, who rehearse on Wednesday evenings at Beachwood High School from
late August to mid May, and put on 5 concerts a year, usually on Sunday
afternoons. We play some very challenging and interesting music. Recently
we have done Shostakovich's Symphony No.5, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis,
Mahler's Symphony No. 4, Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra, and many other
selections from the classical repertoire. The winds and many of the strings
are very good musicians. Our director is Martin Kessler, who is musically
excellent, is respectful to his players, and motivates well.
If you are an accomplished amateur trombonist who likes playing classical
music, please contact Ray Leanza, Personnel Coordinator, at this e-mail
address (rflsso at att dot net), or call 440-525-5050, for more details.
