HobGob Press

HobGob Press is a small, independant press (based in the Northeast, Ohio area) that publishes CONTEMPORARY and EXPERIMENTAL works of art, including Essays, Techniques, Research, and Theories.

Indelible by Michael Bernstein
A haunting piece of work by one of Ohio's
most intelligent modern artists. A beautifully
written, twenty-page chapbook. It will draw
    you in with its beautiful tempo and melody;
like a clock approaching midnight, it will keep
you in anticipation. Bernstein chooses his
words so skillfully -- he creates visuals in
your mind that are surreal and original. This
work will keep you thinking well into your
dreams at night. A must have for the reader
    looking for a new experience.

Artis Iuvenis (Youth Art) by B. M. Stroud

Artis Iuvenis is Latin and translates into 'Youth Art.'
This chapbook includes twenty-four stunning, high-
quality, gloss prints of children's artwork. All of the
work was created by children in the first grade and
younger, collected through various sources around
Ohio. With a preface by world famous author and
professor of cognition and education, Howard Gardner,
from his book, Artful Scribbles: The Significance of
Children's Drawings. All rights to Mr. Gardner's work
have been approved by him directly for this series.
The titles for the work have purposely been left out
so that you, the observer, can interpret them as you
wish. The purpose of this series is to ask questions
about the significance of children's artwork -- to allow
us to reflect on our current perceptions and definitions
of what art is and could be.
