Scenic Artist
The Cleveland Play House (LORT C), the oldest continuously operating regional theatre in America, is accepting applications for a Scenic Artist.  The Scenic Artist's responsibilities include assisting the Charge Scenic Artist with the painting and finishing of all scenic elements, shop maintenance, and other duties as assigned.  Qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills, knowledge of all common scenic techniques and be able to accurately read and interpret renderings and paint elevations, and be well versed in color matching and paint mixing.  Position requires a person who is detail oriented and can follow instructions.  Must be a team player and be able to collaborate with designers and co-workers.  Ability to work independently and joie de vivre is a plus. Minimum of 1-3 years professional experience (preferably in regional theatre) required.  Position is full time, seasonal hourly and runs from September 17, 2012 through March 31, 2013.
