Legally Addicted

A new play about the dangers of prescription drug abuse. 


This play is set to tour throughout schools and the community around the greater Cleveland area. Performances will be Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, as well as some evenings, throughout the 2012-2013 school season. 



Characters
All characters are open to a range of ethnicities, and will display varying social classes.


David:  A troubled teenager. Male, late teens. (Must play David at age 10)

Chloe: Girlfriend to David. Female, late teens (Must play Chloe at age 10)

Mark: Friend to David. Male, late teens (Must play Mark at age 10)

Josh: Younger brother to Chloe. Male, 8 -12 years old.

Rob: Chloe's father. Male, late 30's - 40's.

Linda: Chloe's mother. Female, late 30's - 40's.

Teacher: Male, mid 20's - 30's.

Mom: Female,  mid 30's - 40's.


All roles are open, and will receive a paid stipendper performance.AEA contracts will be considered.


Actors must have flexible schedules, and reliable transportation!


Please prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue that is appropriate to your age.


Auditionswill be held Monday, July 30th and Tuesday, July 31st from 6-9pm by appointment only. 
Open auditions will be held Wednesday, August 1st from 6-9pm.
Call backswill be Thursday, August 2 from 6-9pm.

Read thru and table work rehearsals will be during the week of August 6th. Rehearsals will run the weekend of August 18, and  Monday - Thursday evenings August 20 - September 6. Opening performance will be the evening of September 10 at Mayfield Village Civic Center.
