                                 Auditions for Victorian
                                       Poe Production

     The Halloween Edgar Allan Poe shows return to the Victorian Players this October.  Auditions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, August 6 & 7 at 7 pm. for Edgar Allan Poe’s: The Masque of the Red Death.  Adapted and directed by J.E.Ballantyne, Jr., the show calls for a large cast including several good character roles..  There are several main speaking roles along with numerous small speaking roles and roles with no dialogue at all.  Ballantyne calls it a costume extravaganza as the main part of the show takes place at the castle of Prince Prospero during a masquerade ball.

     Performances are scheduled for October 12 thru 28 with two midnight shows on Saturday, October 20 and 27.  Auditionees will be reading from the script which is still in the process of being adapted.
