MILK MILK LEMONADE OPENS FRIDAY, AUG. 17 AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM

convergence-continuum continues its 2012 Season with the Ohio premiere of
MilkMilkLemonade by Joshua Conkel, an outrageous, absurd and poignant
comedy. MilkMilkLemonade tells the tale of Emory, an effeminate,
fifth-grade farm boy whose only friend is a giant depressed chicken named
Linda. His grandmother Nanna, who is aghast that her grandson might be a
homosexual, orders him to stop playing with dolls and choreographing dance
routines, and spend more time with the hyper-masculine Elliot, whose
interests include throwing balls, beating up Emory and setting things on
fire.

What Nanna doesn’t know is that bully-boy neighbor Elliot also enjoys
playing an extremely detailed version of house with Emory, one that
focuses less on homemaking and more on ennui and imaginings of prom (and
some other stuff Nana would definitely not approve of). A children's play
definitely not for children, MilkMilkLemonade is a queer pondering of
gender, identity, and the need to dream up a world where you can be who
you are. (Note: All children and animate poultry are played by adults.)

MilkMilkLemonade is directed by converge-continuum company member Cory
Molner and features actors Zac Hudak, Brian Devers, Marcia Mandell, Sarah
Kunchik and Lisa Wiley.

MilkMilkLemonade opens Friday, August 17 and runs at 8 p.m. Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays through September 8 at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton
Rd., Cleveland, OH 44113. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for
seniors and $10 for students. For reservations and information visit
