Over the Tavern, an endearing, coming-of-age comedy/drama about growing up in the idealistic 1950s
is set in a cramped Buffalo apartment above a bar owned by the Polish Catholic Pazinski family. The
story centers on, Rudy, a precocious 12-year old who's starting to question both his family's rules
and the catechism drilled by his take-no-guff teacher, Sister Clarissa.
