[NEohioPAL] Heights Youth Theatre Holding Auditions for Midsummer - August 27

Auditions for MIDSUMMER a new musical adapted from William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream are open to all actors in grades 3-12

Monday, August 27, 2012 - 4-5:30 PM (grades 3-6); 5:30-7 PM (grades 7-12)

These will be open-call auditions -- you do not need to schedule an appointment.  We ask that no one arrives later than 7:00 PM to ensure we are able to end on time. 

WHAT TO PREPARE:
Grades 7-12

32 bars of a song of your choice; legit musical theatre or classical music only please (no pop or rock songs)
Prepare one of the sides provided on the website
Grades 3-6

Please learn the opening chorus to either “Castle on a Cloud” from Les Miserables OR “Maybe” from Annie. (we will help you practice a little before you sing alone)
Prepare the sides provided on the website

Please provide a headshot (or recent photo) and a resume (if available) at your audition. NOTE: These will not be returned to you.  

Call-backs (by invitation only) will be held on Tuesday, August 28 beginning at 4 PM.  If you do not receive a callback, it does NOT mean that you are not being considered for casting!

**First rehearsal for principals will be held on Thursday, August 30  and the show will run for two weekends opening October 12 and running through October 21**
