*Cleveland Public Theatre announces *

*Auditions for Springboard (a staged reading series)*

Cleveland Public Theatre is looking to cast 5 shows in this series. We are
looking for a diverse group of all adult ages and types.

Springboard features staged readings of new scripts by local writers. The
Springboard series places a special emphasis on developing directors for
new work, nurturing strong relationships between directors and playwrights,
and engaging the audience in the process. Springboard is NOT actors
standing at music stands. This is staged work that conveys that rare
excitement that comes from getting up on stage with little time to prepare.
Audience members give feedback and engage in post-show discussions to help
local playwrights improve their work.

*When: Sunday August 26, 2012 from 10am-6pm***

*Where: CPT’s James Levin Theatre (6415 Detroit Ave)*

Auditions are by appointment only and will be scheduled in one hour blocks.
Actors will be given sides at the audition for cold readings. No prepared
material is necessary, but please bring five copies of your head shot and
resume.

Each show will involve 3-4 rehearsals and 2 performances. Rehearsals will
be held on weekend days and evenings and weekday evenings. The series runs
two weeks. The dates are: October 11 – October 21, 2012 Shows will
alternate Wednesday through Sunday.

AEA contracts may be considered. Non AEA actors will receive a very small
stipend.
