"ANNIE" features 7 ORPHAN roles for young actresses, including the title role. We are looking for young female
performers who can pass for between 7 and 12 years of age. NO children under 7 will be eligible for this
production. Older children who can realistically pass for 12 are permitted to audition.

PREPARATION: Children are encouraged to prepare one 30 to 60 second song. Singing to accompaniment is preferred, so please bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. If you do not have sheet music, an "A Capella" audition is permitted.

The rehearsal process will be a busy one and a sizable time commitment. Parents are encouraged to look at
their child's schedule to see if there is ample opportunity to fully participate in this project. Conflicts will weigh
heavily in the selection process. NO CONFLICTS can be entertained from Nov. 27th to Jan. 6th.

Please prepare one 60 to 90 second musical theater selection that shows your power and range. Bring sheet
music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. A Capella auditions are discouraged.

A sidenote: While "ANNIE" is almost considered cliche' in much of the acting community, I can tell you from
experience that it is actually a) a VERY well-constructed piece of musical theatre and b) an absolute blast
to perform from Ensemble to Lead. Don't underrate it!

CALLBACKS for both children and adults will occur sometime during the weekend of Sept. 22nd/23rd.
