Southern Fried Chicks Comedy Tour at LCCC's Stocker Arts Center

Get ready an evening of down home humor when the Southern Fried Chicks
comedy tour stops off at Lorain County Community College's Stocker Arts
Center.

The tour stars Etta May and two special guests from the "Chick's Hen
House," Sonya White and Karen Mills. The comedy trio will perform at
7:30 p.m., Thursday, September 13. The show is part of Stocker's
Performing Artists Series.

Tickets are $36 for orchestra; $29 for mezzanine; and $10 for LCCC
students and youth 18 and under. Valet parking is available for this
show for just $5 per car. Tickets for the performance and valet parking
can be ordered online at www.stockerartscenter.com, or by calling the
Stocker Arts Center box office at (440) 366-4040 from 12-6 p.m., Monday
through Friday and 90 minutes before curtain time. Tickets are also
available at the box office, located in the lobby of the Stocker Arts
Center.

Since the debut of their one-hour comedy special on CMT, the Southern
Fried Chicks have played to venues packed with people and laughter. Life
and love in the USA has never been funnier as when the original
"desperate housewives" give their points of view. The show has been
compared to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, but with better hair and bigger
attitude.

Etta May has been described as "Minnie Pearl with a migraine." Winner of
the prestigious American Comedy Awards Stand-up Comic of the Year, she
has appeared on "Oprah," CMT, "Comic Strip Live," plus many others. She
is an audience favorite of XM and Sirius radio comedy channels and on
syndicated radio shows, "The Bob and Tom Show" and "The Rick and Bubba
Show." She is a regular on CMT countdown shows and featured programming.

Sonya White, originally from Virginia, combines her Southern charm with
big city smarts. She has appeared on Fox Network's "Nightshift," Family
Channel's "Big Brother Jake" and on national promos for that "Dancing
with the Stars" alum Jerry Springer, and his infamous show, "The Jerry
Springer Show."

Karen Mills is a native Tennessean and makes one thing clear through her
clean and clever comedy: "I am not a Southern Belle, unless I need to
be." She is a veteran comedian who has worked with Jon Stewart and was a
contributing writer for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show."
