Come and take a part in OPEN MIC SHAKESPEARE, an ongoing monthly series of
free, open readings of Shakespeare plays sponsored by the Cleveland
Shakespeare Festival.

*BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY, WE'RE RESCHEDULING THIS MONTH'S READING TO MONDAY
SEPTEMBER 10!*
To get up-to-the-minute information and reminders, visit

updates via RSS reader or email.

On Monday, September 10 at 7pm, we’ll congregate at Market Avenue Wine Bar
in Ohio City. Bring your friends to join in the reading or just listen and
enjoy the wine bar’s selections of over 75 wines by the glass or 50 craft
beers, as well as hors d’oeurves and desserts.

Roles will be assigned at the beginning of the event and rotated throughout
the play without regard to traditional casting considerations, to give a
chance to everyone who wants to read.

Last month, we read HENRY IV, PART I and saw young Prince Hal leave behind
a life of revelry and petty crime with his friend, the irrepressible,
irascible drunkard and braggart Sir John Falstaff, and redeem his
reputation by besting the rebel Hotspur on the battlefield.
In PART II, Shakespeare brings us a play at once even bawdier and more
filled with thought and reflection on the nature of leadership. While
helpful, it's not entirely necessary to have read Part I in order to enjoy
Part II.

We will have a limited number of copies available, so if you have a copy of
your own, please bring it.
