*"VOICES OF BROADWAY" (Formerly Junior Troupe) *
*and*
*TEEN ACADEMY'S PIPPIN*

*SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2012  - 2:00 to 5:00pm

*Voices of Broadway is for grades 8 - 10*

The primary purpose of Voices of Broadway is to provide its members with
opportunities to showcase and further develop their skills in singing,
acting, and dance.  It is our goal to expose the members of VOB to the work
ethic, dedication and commitment required of those who hope to participate
in other performing arts venues.



Combining elements of a Broadway-style cabaret with high energy GLEE-style
song and dance, participants prepare for both a fall and spring showcase.

 *Teen Academy's Pippin is for grades 8 - 12*
*PIPPIN* is a hip, tongue-in-cheek, anachronistic fairy tale that
captivated Broadway audiences and continues to appeal to the young at heart
everywhere The energetic pop-influenced score by three-time Oscar®-winning
composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz (*GODSPELL*, *CHILDREN OF EDEN*, and the
animated films Pocahontas, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame and The Prince Of
Egypt) bursts with one showstopping number after another, from soaring
ballads to infectious dance numbers.

*Please prepare 32 measures of a song in the style of the show.
An accompanist will be provided, as well as a CD player for those wishing
to use instrumental accompaniment trax.

A dance audition will be part of the process, so please bring appropriate
clothing and shoes.

Please plan on staying for the entire audition
from 2:00 – 5:00pm.

You only need to do one audition to be considered for
“Voices of Broadway” and/or “Pippin.”
