Dear Arts Professionals,

I recently became affiliated with an artist from the Cleveland area who is
using solo-theater to bring awareness and social change. His name is Aaron

The play (based on a true story) comments on the predatory culture of For
Profit schools, the exploitation of the American student, and the 1
trillion dollars of student loan debt shouldered by 36 million Americans.

After transitioning cities and having significant student loan debt
himself, Calafato reluctantly took a job as an admissions advisor at a For
Profit University. Calafato's job was to recruit students and sign them up
for unreasonably expensive degree programs that would leave them in a heap
of debt. Feeling guilty for insuring his financial security at the cost
others, led Calafato to ask, "how far will we go to maintain our own
security?" It was this ethically jarring experience as an
admissions adviser and the stories of students who inspired him that formed
the basis of * For Profit. *

Calafato premiered this work in New York City and has toured the play
throughout several states over the past 6 months. He has teamed up with
other organizations who identify and advocate for his mission. Most
recently, Calafato became the Artist Director for Student Debt
Crisis<http://studentdebtcrisis.org/>.
His mission is to:*"to educate, inform, and create social dialogue about
the student debt crisis and exploitation of the American student."*

crisis visit his facebook page FOR PROFIT
