Grade School Students Are Welcome to Audition for the musical PETER PAN at Magnificat High School!

Audition Format:
The audition itself will be closed to the public.  Those auditioning will be with others auditioning and the directing team.  They will learn bits of songs from the show, a dance routine, and may be asked to read from the script.  Actual height and weight need to be known for these auditions.  Boys and girls of any grade school age are welcome to audition.   Height, a young-sounding speaking voice, and of course performance talent will determine kid casting.  Theatrical/Performing experience preferred.

Production dates: Nov 16-18 and Nov 23-25.

Rehearsals vary depending on musical numbers and scenes by character - times increase as the show nears.  Rehearsals run Mon-Thurs after school (start times around 3:30/4 and end times start at 5/5:30 and work up to 8:00 when we get into November rehearsals and tech weeks), and some Sunday afternoons as needed.


Possible Roles available:

Michael Darling - needs to be able to speak with a British accent, sing harmony, sing alone and in a round, follow basic dances (can be played by a boy or a girl) - needs to be attentive and follow direction as this character has LOTS of stage time.

Nibs - one of the speaking Lost Boys, very energetic, under 5 feet tall, able to sing harmony with group and dance with ensemble/s (can be a boy or a girl; different character voices welcome!)

There is a chance that we may add a select few of the grade school students who audition to 2 of the 3 ensembles:

Lost Boys-ensemble - need to be under 5 feet, very energetic, able to sing/dance with group

Indians-ensemble - heavy dance focus, needs to be able to carry a tune/tempo with others, needs big facial expressions while singing/dancing

Once assigned, you will receive more details.  First come, first served.  We may not be able to schedule all of those interested so act soon!

Audition Dates:
Monday September 10 from 5:30-6:30
Tuesday September 11 from 5:30-6:30
