* Auditions for both Reader's Theater and Murder Mystery*
* are being held simultaneously.*

*READER'S THEATER*
  Performances will be at the Geauga Lyric Theater October 26th and 27th at
7pm.
They will include two pieces by Edgar Allan Poe, and an adaptation of the
Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
 Prepare a reading approximately 3 minutes in length.

  *MURDER MYSTERY DINNER*
 There will also be auditions for a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater "Marriage
can be Murder" on the same evening.
 The performance will be at the Berkshire Hills Country Club in Chesterland
on November 10th, 6pm till midnight.
 Adult actors required. Ages 16 and up only please, unless permission has
been given by the director.

 If auditioning for any combination of roles, please prepare a short
Christmas carol that showcases your voice and range and be prepared to read
from the script.
 *Please note that even if you audition for a non-solo role, you may be
asked to sing a short Christmas carol at auditions or callbacks.
 If called back for a member of the Cratchit family, you will definitely be
asked to sing.

* SOLO ROLES*
 Please prepare a song and be prepared to read from the script to audition
for these roles.
-Carolers, all ages considered. Needed for pre-show and in-show work.
 Will be singing traditional Christmas carols and may also be featured in
ensemble scenes.

-Bob Cratchit, 30s-50s, underfed, hard worker, father of 6, works for
Scrooge
-Ebenezer Scrooge, 40s+, pessimistic, greedy, undergoes a complete
transformation

-Mr. Fezziwig, 30s+, jolly

-Mrs. Fezziwig, soprano, 30s+

-Belle, soprano, 16-18, engaged to Young Ebenezer Scrooge

  -Mrs. Cratchit, 30s-50s, underfed, mother of 6

  -Joe, 20s+, loots the graveyard

  -Charwoman, 20s+, loots the graveyard

  -Patrick, 16-25, loots the graveyard

  -Laundress, 16-25, loots the graveyard

  -Edward Cratchit, 10-11, one of the Cratchit boys

  -Elizabeth Cratchit , 7-9, one of the Cratchit girls

 Please prepare a 1-minute monologue in a British accent to audition for
one of these roles.
 Be prepared to sing a Christmas carol if asked at auditions or callbacks.
 *Means the character will probably sing in the ENSEMBLE as well and may be
asked to sing at callbacks
