Cabaret Night, Solon, September 15, 2012
Solon, 9/10/12—Add a little music to your life as Solon High School’s Show
Choir, Music in Motion presents Cabaret night.  Now you can see the members of
Solon’s own show choir, Music in Motion, showcase their talents in an intimate
coffee house setting.

Cabaret Night features a variety of musical and vocal acts performed by the
students on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school
cafeteria, 33600 Inwood Road.  This popular event has been entertaining
students, parents, alumni and community members for years.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and you will want to get there early to participate in
the silent auction.  Auction items donated to date include a flat screen TV,
rounds of golf at an area country club, tickets to the Browns and Cav’s games
and gift cards to many area restaurants and other businesses.  Auction proceeds
will help to offset the show choir’s competition fees and travel expenses.

Founded in 1985, Music in Motion is Solon High School’s award winning show
choir.  For over 25 years Music in Motion has been entertaining audiences with
its high energy shows.  This award-winning ensemble has performed in festivals
and competitions in Ohio, Illinois, Virginia and Florida, earning top honors in
vocal performance, show design, outstanding soloists and best choreography.
Music in Motion was the Grand Champion in ever competition they participated in
during the 2012 season.

Music in Motion is under the direction of Gary Lewis.  Mr.  Lewis is the vocal
director for Solon High School.  He sings baritone in Max Q, a world class
barbershop quartet.   Mr. Lewis stated, “Cabaret Night is a tremendous showcase
of the individual talents of our students.  The remainder of our year is spent
working with the group as a whole, so it benefits the students to know how their
individual talents plug in to the overall complexion of Music In Motion.  I'm
always amazed at the acts. These young adults are immensely talented!”
Tickets for the event are $10 and include complimentary desserts and coffee.
All seating is general admission.  Tickets are available in advance from a Show
Choir member or at the door on the night of the event.
