The North Canton Playhouse special interest...

   For the 18th 
year, the Ridgecliff Foundation has awarded the Spotlight on Youth 
Program of The North Canton Playhouse, Center for the Performing Arts, a
 grant for  23 performances of live dramas in schools in Northeastern 
Ohio.   This program titled, "Saving Lives Through The Arts", presents 
educational prevention dramas in schools. Dealing with such topics as 
domestic violence, substance abuse, eating disorders, animal rights, 
etc.  These dramas are presented free to these
 schools. This grant does not cover Stark County.  
   
   The 
Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Stark County has awarded 
"Spotlight on Youth" grant monies for the presentation of substance 
abuse and domestic violence dramas in Stark County.
 This is the 21st year for funding from this agency.

    The 
Deuble Foundation donated money for the presentation of one of the new 
bully plays in the Spotlight repertoire. With staff members donating 
time and talents, Spotlight will attempt  to bring 4 dramas to schools 
on this topic.
