October promises to be very entertaining at Stocker, beginning with A
Date with Judy! The Songs of Young Judy Garland on Friday and Saturday,
October 5 & 6 at 8:00pm each evening. This wonderful show features Joan
Ellison and Mark Flanders, with pianist Jason Aquila and The Melody
Maids. Tickets are $15 for this Studio Theatre Cabaret.

Don't miss The Cab Jivers of the Cab Calloway Orchestra with special
guest Alice Tan Ridley on Sunday, October 7 at 7:30pm. The Cab Jivers
are a smaller group of the Cab Calloway Orchestra led by Cab's grandson,
Calloway Brooks. Performing with The Cab Jivers is Alice Tan Ridley, a
finalist on America's Got Talent in 2010. Check out this YouTube video

We are premiering a new opera by Robert Beckstrom on Friday October 19
at 7:30pm and Sunday, October 21 at 3:00pm. Job, a new opera from the
Old Testament asks the timeless question, why does evil fall upon good
people? This show is fresh, energetic, provocative and insightful and
will have you talking about it long after you leave the theatre.
Tickets: $15.

We are pleased to welcome the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra back
to perform in concert on Monday, October 29 at 7:00pm. The COYO is one
of the premiere pre-professional symphonic orchestras in the United
States. This is a free concert and tickets are not necessary.

Our Film Series continues this month with "Nicky's Family" on October 5;
"Headhunters" on October 12; and "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" on
October 26. All films begin at 7:30. Film Society Membership is $3 for
the entire season and film tickets are just $6.
