 Press Release:

The First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland’s Arts Outreach Program announces its fifth annual fundraising event in support of the Cleveland Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center to be held Friday, October 19th at 7:30pm.

Admission to the event this year will be cleaning products. The Center and safe houses serve more than 300 women and children through the year and the need for cleaning products is constant. Due to strict environmental and health guidelines the Center can only accept the following products: Pine Sol Cleaner, Comet Cleanser, Joy Dish Soap, tall kitchen size garbage bags, Dreft or Purex laundry detergent, Cascade dishwasher detergent, and Windex. Dish towels are also needed.

Entertainment for the night will be provided by students from the Cleveland Institute of Music accompanied by Adam Whiting. Adam has come up with a clever montage of “cleaning” related music including songs from “Gallantry – a soap opera” by Douglas Moore.

Included in the event is the annual baking competition. As in past years, the audience will vote with their dollars for their favorite treats and prizes will be awarded to the top three dishes. All money from the voting will go to the Center.
