Third Annual 8 X 10 TheatreFest!

Call For Entries! 

 

Following our successful second annual TheatreFest in July, Weathervane Playhouse is excited to announce that the 2013 ten minute play festival will be held on August 16-18, 2013.    

 

Beginning October 15, 2012, playwrights from around the country are invited to submit 10 minute plays, which will be read by a committee of volunteers.   These first round judges will choose the eight finalist plays which will be given three performances over TheatreFest weekend.    Guest judges will choose First and Second Place winners and the audiences will vote for their favorite.   Following Sunday=s matinee performance, winners will be announced and cash prizes awarded! 

 

$350 - First Place

$250 - Second Place

$150 - Audience Favorite

$50 each  - Five Runners - Up

 

Besides choosing a favorite, audience members also pick the special prop that needs to be included in the following year’s contest. The deadline for submission is 5pm on Friday, May 31, 2013.
