Woman who inspired hit TV series “The Ghost Whisperer” to visit Lakeland
October 26
Contrary to popular belief, having a ghost in your home (or business) is a
little more than just something going bump in the night...
In time for Halloween and to help clarify legends and lore, Lakeland’s
Events Services is hosting
World-renowned paranormal investigator,
Mary Ann Winkowski,
on Friday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m.,
Tickets:
$25 per person - 7:30 p.m. lecture only
$50 per person - include dinner at 6 p.m.
$100 per person - a seat at Winkowski's table for dinner plus front row
seating at the 7:30 p.m. lecture
For reservations, visit http://bit.ly/oq91xN or call 440-525-7408.
Winkowski will lead a casual, fun and informative discussion about ghosts,
or which she prefers to call, earthbound spirits.
“People are still afraid of the unknown. Especially with our youth
obsessed culture, death has been sanitized and cleaned up. Many do not
want to talk about it,” said Winkowski. “So the fear of ghosts goes right
along with the fear of death when in fact it is a very natural part of
being human.”
According to Winkowski, here are the top five signs you might have someone
dear who has not really departed:
1. Electrical appliances keep breaking
2. Your dog or cat refuses to go to certain rooms or areas
3. Sudden onset of headaches
4. Consistent colds, flu or fatigue
5. Sudden and unexplained interest in something new
Following the lecture, Winkowski will host a book signing in the foyer.

Ghost Whisperer's Cookbook" (Clerisy Press).
She has offered her abilities to those in need across the United States
and in far-away places such as St. Lucia and Scotland.
Winkowski is contacted regularly by Federal agencies and local police
precincts investigating cold cases and other unsolved crimes. Her private
