Hudson Players Hold Auditions this Weekend for "Uh Oh, Here Comes Christmas"

Hudson's Community Theater to Hold Open Auditions October 21 & 22

The Hudson Players will hold auditions for Robert Fulghum's funny and
charming show of holiday vignettes "Uh Oh, Here Comes Christmas", this
Sunday and Monday evenings, October 21 & 22 at 7 p.m. at the Barlow
Community Center at 41 S. Oviatt St in Hudson. All roles are available with
interested crew and production team members (publicity, set, props,
costumes, sound, lights, etc) also being sought. Auditions are open to all
with no restrictions. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the

"Uh Oh, Here Comes Christmas," is the theater groups fun, family holiday
offering based on the books by Robert Fulghum and adapted by Ernest Zulia
and David Caldwell. Music and lyrics by David Caldwell. With performances
scheduled for December 7 & 8, the light hearted, holiday show, will be
directed by Michael Nickley. Roles are available for 3 men and 2 women of
various ages but may be expanded. While the show is not a musical, some
light hearted singing is included (there are four original songs) and thus
auditioners may be asked to sing as well.

A break from all the standard holiday tellings, "Uh Oh, Here Comes
Christmas" is a funny, heartwarming and often poignant look at the struggle
to find the spirit of the holidays amid the avalanche of commercialism,
stress and chaos that crashes down every December.  The show is a
compilation of 15 holiday essays from the international best-selling author
of All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten told in a funny,
unique and fun holiday manner. Sure to get you in the spirit and a not to be
missed welcome break from the craziness of the holidays.

The Hudson Players are an all volunteer non-profit community theater
organization and one of the longest running theater troupes in the area.
Volunteers are always welcome to assist with a variety of tasks including
publicity, poster distribution, set building, costumes and more. Auditions
to their shows are open to all with no restrictions. Additional information
