Due to a few last minute cancellations, we now have 2 SLOTS available for this special workshop for HS Actors ONLY!

Cleveland High-School Theatre 
Audition Workshop
 
** Are you a student in grades 9-12 who is passionate about pursuing theatre on a professional level?
** Do you want to want to improve your performance in the audition room?
** Are you in the midst of preparing for college auditions?
 
If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then you should 
absolutely sign-up for a spot in theAUDITION WORKSHOP!
 
This 3-hour workshop will focus on everything you need to know to help 
you improve your audition skills! Topics will include:
 
·        How to select the perfect song(s) and monologue(s)
·        Preparing a professional resume
·        Headshots – the good, the bad, and the ugly
·        The best way to assemble your audition book
·        Commanding the audition room
·        What are they REALLY looking for???
·        DO’s and DON’Ts of auditioning
·      Dance Auditions
·        COLLEGE AUDITIONS!!
 
Not only will you learn a ton of information, but many students will also have the 
opportunity to receive feedback on a prepared monologue or song of their choice!
 
WHEN: Sunday, October 28th from 1-5pm
WHERE: Playhouse Square Center (State Theater rehearsal hall)
HOW MUCH: $40 (not a bad deal for a 4-hour intensive!!)
 
**NEWLY ADDED: The dance portion of this workshop will be conducted by Greg Daniels, the head of the Dance Department at Baldwin-Wallace University!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Sean Szaller has been a professional theater artist for the last 20 years. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and will soon be a member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers (SDC). As an actor, he has been seen on virtually every professional stage in Northeast Ohio including Playhouse Square Center, Great Lakes Theater Festival, The Cleveland Playhouse, Cain Park, The Beck Center, and the Cleveland Orchestra. He has also appeared off-Broadway in the NYMF show, “I Come for Love.” His work as a stage manager has taken him from coast to coast working at such theaters as Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Virginia Musical Theatre, and West Virginia Public Theater. Sean is also a critically acclaimed director, choreographer and musical director who has mounted countless productions across the state. He is known as a leading theater educator in
 Cleveland, having worked for 9 years on the faculty of the Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory. He has served as a teacher for the Beck Center, Stagecrafters, Beachwood Recreation, and Kenston Local Schools. Sean runs a successful private voice studio and is the Performing Arts Center Manager for Magnificat High School.
