CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM PRESENTS SAM SHEPARD'S TRUE WEST, OPENING FRI, NOV 16.

convergence-continuum closes its 2012 Season with True West by Sam
Shepard. Our modern American classic for this season, True West explores
alternatives that might spring from the demented terrain of the California
landscape. Sons of a desert dwelling alcoholic and a suburban wanderer
clash over a film script. Austin, the achiever, is working on a script he
has sold to producer Saul Kimmer. But Austin’s brother, Lee, a demented
petty thief, drops in. Lee pitches his own idea for a movie to Kimmer, who
then wants Austin to junk his and write Lee's trashy Western tale instead.
The sibling rivalry heats up to the boiling point and the resulting
standoff rivals that of the Old West itself.

True West is directed by convergence-continuum’s Artistic Director, Clyde
Simon, and features an all-star cast of con-con company actors with
Geoffrey Hoffman as Austin, Cliff Bailey as Lee, Robert Hawkes as Saul
Kimmer, and Lucy Bredeson-Smith as Mom. True West is con-con’s sixth Sam
Shepard production, having presented his plays Buried Child, Action, La
Turista, States of Shock and The Unseen Hand over the course of its eleven
seasons.

True West opens Friday, November 16 and runs at 8 p.m. Fridays and
Saturdays through December 15 at the Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd.,
Cleveland, OH 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood. Tickets are $15
general admission, $12 for seniors and $10 for students. For reservations
and information visit www.convergence-continuum.org or call 216-687-0074.
