The
final 5 performances of Godspell quickly sold out at Independence Community Theatre. So by popular demand, the
theater is adding an additional show THIS Thursday, Nov. 15th at
7:30pm. Show tickets are $12. For tickets or more information call

Directer
by Jennifer Sindyla, along with Musical Director Gail Wirick and Choreographer
Debbie Conway,are excited to put on such an expressive, inspiring, and
entertaining show.
Conceived
and originally directed by John Michael Tebelak, Godspell offers music
and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It is
based primarily on the Gospel According to St. Matthew, bringing to life the
parables of Jesus Christ and the story of Jesus' final moments. The main story
of Godspell is portrayed in the show's subtext--in the way the players
interact with their leader, coming together to create a loving community. The
show’s comically improvisational style makes it enjoyable for everyone, and
audience members be dancing in their seats to songs like "Day By
Day," "Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord," "Save The
People," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "Bless the Lord,"
and "All For The Best".
