Sing with Franc D'Ambrosio at LCCC

Local singers will have the opportunity to attend a free master class
and audition for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing on stage
with Franc D'Ambrosio, who is best known for his portrayal of the
Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera." 

D'Ambrosio will perform Franc D'Ambrosio's Broadway - Songs of the
'Great White Way' at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 1 at Lorain County
Community College's Stocker Arts Center. Tickets are $36 for orchestra;
$29 for mezzanine; and $10 for LCCC students and youth 18 and under.
Valet parking is available for this show for just $5 per car. Tickets
for the performance and valet parking can be ordered online at
www.stockerartscenter.com, or by calling the Stocker Arts Center box
office at (440) 366-4040 from 12-6 p.m., Monday through Friday and 90
minutes before ticketed events. Tickets can also be purchased in person
at the box office, which is located in the lobby of the Stocker Arts
Center.

During the performance, D'Ambrosio will perform with two local singers
who will be singing the roles of Christine and Raoul from "Phantom." The
singers will be selected through master class/auditions with D'Ambrosio.
The master class/auditions will be held from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, January
31 at LCCC's Stocker Arts Center and from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, January 31
at Baldwin Wallace University. The opportunity to attend the master
class/audition at either LCCC or Baldwin Wallace is free and open to
students, faculty, staff and the general public, though reservations are
requested. Please call the Stocker Arts Center administrative offices at
(440) 366-4140 to make a reservation.

D'Ambrosio performed the role of the Phantom more than 2,200 times. He
has been affectionately referred to as Phantom's "Iron Man of The Mask"
and held the title as the World's Longest Running Phantom for over a
decade.

D'Ambrosio is a world class teacher and studied with the late, legendary
Luciano Pavarotti. His resume also includes an Academy Award nominated
film, an Emmy Award nominated television show, a four-time Tony
nominated Broadway show, two Grammy considerations, and a National
Theatre Award nomination. Francis Ford Coppola cast him as Anthony
Corleone, the opera singing son of Al Pacino and Diane Keaton in the
seven-time Academy Award nominated film "Godfather III."  D'Ambrosio
starred in the film and sang the Academy Award winning theme song,
"Speak Softly Love (Brucia la Terra)." Franc D'Ambrosio has toured
extensively throughout the US, Europe and South America with his
critically acclaimed one-man shows
