AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT: AURORA COMMUNITY THEATER
THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED)
By Adam Long, Daniel Singer & Jess Winfield
Three men, 37 plays, 97 minutes – an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the
Bard’s plays. Join these madcap men in tights as they weave their wicked way
through all of Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories and Tragedies (and a few
sonnets) in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with
laughter.
Directed by Don Bernardo
Produced by Kate Williams-Bernardo

All roles are available. This show demands ACTIVE, HIGH-ENERGY comedy players

NOTE: The show specifically calls for (and was written by and for) three men,
and the goal is to cast as written. However, the director may entertain the
possibility of casting no more than one woman in the show, in place of one of
the older men. Women interested in auditioning are strongly encouraged to
contact the director in advance (see contact information, below) before
attending auditions.
Performances 8pm Fridays and Saturdays
MARCH 1-9, 2013
Rehearsals tentatively scheduled to begin January 13. Please bring schedule
conflicts, which will be carefully considered in casting.

No preparation required. Auditions will consist of a cold reading of one
Shakespeare monologue, sides from the script, and (if time allows) some brief
improv work.
All auditioners are asked to arrive on time, and be prepared to stay through the
entire audition session. Headshots and resumes are welcomed, but not required.
Callbacks may be held, at a date to be determined.
