[NEohioPAL] rejects at least 10 postings a day - why?

Do you think you get a lot of Neohiopal mail? :-) It would be almost
double if everything that was sent to the queue actually went out. Noah and
I monitor each posting and approve, discard or reject each one.

Most common reason for rejection is the posting is being sent more than
once a week. But some slip through. How? We rely on memory and then take a
look at the archives to confirm. That is why some postings get through
more often than they should. It would be impossible to research every
posting. Use your calendar to plan your posting submissions so you don't
break this rule.

Another common reason is the message size is over 35,000 bytes - sometimes
just with text, sometimes with a graphic or attachment. If your message is
big, set it up on a website and send a link.

Third biggest reason is a weak subject line. Subscribers delete 90% of the
messages without reading them, but everyone reads the subject lines. Make
sure you include producing organization and event and any other enticing
tidbit that will get people to open the email.

Have a great holiday season!!
