This class will focus on maintaining grounded scene work within the
context of the classic structures of short-form comedic improvisation,
including scenic games, line games, blind games, and musical games.
Topics will include agreement, listening, support, risk-taking,
character, and physicality. Students will learn to think on their feet
and to deal with the unexpected with poise and humor. The class will
culminate in an informal showcase for family and friends. Some previous
experience with improvisation is recommended.

Tracy Cubbal has been a fixture of the Cleveland improv scene since
2005. She has studied at the Annoyance, iO, and Second City in Chicago
and performed at venues including Big Dog Theater, Cleveland Public
Theatre's Pandemonium, the Columbus Unscripted Improv Festival, the Del
Close Marathon, the Oberlin College Improv Conference, and Chicago's
Playground Theater. Tracy has performed with Rockwell 9, Angry Ladies of
Improv, and Point of No Return Improv. She runs Cleveland's weekly open
improv jam.

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is generously funded by Cuyahoga County
residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and is supported by the Ohio
Arts Council.
