Cleveland Play House, the oldest continuously operating regional theatre in America, is accepting applications for a Properties Carpenter.  Applicants should have 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in regional theatre.  Ability to climb up and work from a ladder.  Detailed knowledge of advanced woodworking and furniture building required.  Some metal working and welding experience is preferred.  Working knowledge of mechanics is a plus.  
 
Must have ability to plan projects and work independently.  Individual should have good organizational and communication skills and be able to assist the Properties Master with general prop construction.  Other responsibilities include maintaining shop tools and equipment in addition to maintaining hardware, lumber and metal inventories. 
 
Valid driver’s license and ability to lift at least 50 lbs. is necessary.  Position is temporary full time and runs through March 31, 2013.
