A Fun, Family-friendly Fundraising Concert presented by Feet of Memory Inc. 
  
 Massillon's Historic Lincoln Theatre will host a Sunday afternoon of classical Loony Toons - Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd at the Opera - with OperaTOONity on February 10 at 2pm.
 
This family-fun-fundraiser is in aid of Feet of Memory Inc.  -- a nonprofit organization formed last year to support Geoffrey Darling's 2,400 mile walk from Florida to Maine to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association.
 
Adults, well maybe older adults, will remember Bugs Bunny's confrontations with Elmer Fudd and the latter's singing "Kill The Wabbit, Kill the Wabbit" to Wagner's Ride of the Valkries in "What's Opera Doc?" - back in the day when cartoons and popular classics went hand in hand. Now it's time to show a younger crowd, not only Fudd's frustration but also Bugs,as "The Rabbit of Seville", giving the hirsutically (and vertically) challenged Fudd the once-over to Rossini's music.
 
The afternoon features :
Bugs Bunny at the opera cartoons
A featured soprano, Robin Bennett.
An appearance by the Wabbit himself.
Canton's Central Catholic Concert Choir  - singing hits from Disney
A fun opera sing-along with Bugs and Elmer - and a Sean Connery look-alike (yeah right) as MC
A 50/50 raffle.
 
Feet of Memory is not the only beneficiary:
  
A SPECIAL FUNDRAISER“framed picture”RAFFLE lets you have your picture taken with your favorite character. Five winners! 
 Proceeds from picture raffle will benefit Chloe, a 3-year-old Perry Township child needing chemotherapy, radiation and
 surgery for a rare kidney tumor. Unfortunately her working parents don't have the health insurance to cover these expensive
life-saving treatments.     
Kids can dress as a Loony Toons character and the afternoon will feature a costume contest parade.
