Beck Center for the Arts is thrilled to offer these exciting classes designed to engage the young student who is schooled in the home environment.  Headed by the imaginative Carli Taylor Miluk – who excels in teaching these classes all over Northeastern Ohio – these classes will provide a fun and educational opportunity as well as a social and creative outlet for the homeschooled student.

Acting Adventures! - Wed 1:15 pm (Ages 4-6)
Dates: Wed, February 6, 2013 - Wed, May 8, 2013
Times: 1:15pm to 2pm

Designed to introduce children to theater through improvised imagination adventures. Students work on projecting their voices, listening for directions, developing stage presence, and working together while stretching their imaginations. Each week students go on an adventure to a far away land. Parents are welcome to attend the final class to see one of these amazing adventures in progress.

Offers students the opportunity to experience the full rehearsal process in a classroom setting. Starting with auditions and casting, students then rehearse a short script to develop a better understanding of working with blocking, taking direction and building a character. This class concludes with an informal presentation for family and friends.

About the instructor: CARLI TAYLOR MILUK
Ms. Miluk holds a BA in Theatre and Dance from Baldwin Wallace, 2005. Her Cleveland performance credits include Cleveland Play House, Great Lakes Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, MorrisonDance, Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, and Murderous Mayhem and Motive 4 Murder mystery shows. Carli hosts events and the "Backyard Show" for Radio Disney AM1260. She directs and choreographs for theaters all over Ohio. Besides teaching theater and dance classes, Carli also teaches at Fit By Five preschool in Westlake.
