The Education Sales Assistant will work with the Education Department to help generate revenue and outreach for the 2013 Classroom Matinee Touring Program by interacting with school districts in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan and effectively articulating the value of the Classroom Matinee Program in their classrooms.

The goal of the 2013 Touring Program is to reach as many students and teachers as possible in order to expose them to the top-tier theater that Cleveland Play House offers!  The Touring Program is designed to enhance the Social Studies curriculum, through art and theater, for students K-3.

Duties/Key Deliverables:
·      Cultivate contacts and interact with counties and school districts
·      Work with Education staff to develop sales strategies
·      Meet established sales goals

Skills:
·       Demonstrated skill in written and verbal communication

  *   Excellent interpersonal skills
  *   Ability to work to deadline in a demanding and fast-paced, yet fun, environment
  *   Ability to efficiently and accurately enter data in database (Microsoft Access experience preferred)
  *   Good sense of humor

Preferred Qualifications:

  *   Experience in non-profit arts sales/service

Temporary Part-Time position, 20 hours a week between 9am and 3pm, but flexible depending on schedule.  Approximate end date is Friday, March 15th.

Compensation:  $7.85 hourly + to-be-negotiated commission.  No benefits.
