"Something's Afoot," pokes light hearted fun at the murder mystery genre,
touching all the well know detective story favorites with a particular focus
on Agatha Christie and her show "And Then There Were None." Performances are
scheduled for February 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17*, 22 & 23 with book, music and
lyrics by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach and additional music
by Ed Linderman. The show is directed by Dave Stebbins with a cast that
includes:

*	Jennifer Matis as Lettie - "The saucy maid" (Cockney)
*	Fig Jankowski as Flint - "The caretaker" (Cockney)
*	Jerry Schaber as Clive - "The fussy butler"
*	Martha Kriley as Hope Langdon - "The Young Ingenue"
*	Gary Maher as Dr. Grayburn - "The family doctor"
*	Mike Guffey as Nigel Rancour - "The black sheep nephew"
*	Kathy Steiner as Lady Grace Manley-Prowde - "The Grande Dame"
*	Mark Levigne as Colonel Gillweather - "The old army man"
*	Holly Reimer as Miss Tweed - "The tweedy, elderly amateur detective"

*	Kirk Worcester as Geoffrey - "The juvenile; the uninvited guest"

While all about poking fun at traditional murder mysteries (and even paying
a little homage to them) the story involves a group of people who are
invited to the lake estate of Lord Dudley Rancour. When the wealthy lord is
found dead, its a race against the clock to find out whodunit. Nominated for
the Oliver Award as Best Musical of the Year, the show immediately makes it
clear, "The Butler Didn't Do It," and is sure to provide a uniquely
entertaining and laugh filled evening. Stranded on Lord Dudley's estate
during a raging thunderstorm after his death, one by one the guests are
picked off by odd, yet cleverly fiendish and amusing devices (shrunken heads
shooting poison darts, etc). Filled with booby-traps and belted songs this
hilarious spoof hums along as the audience plays armchair detective to a
zany cast of characters.

The Hudson Players are an all volunteer non-profit community theater
organization and one of the longest running theater troupes in the area.
Currently they are presenting a production of Agatha Christie's "The
Mousetrap" running Nov. 2-17. Volunteers are always welcome to assist with a
variety of tasks including publicity, poster distribution, set building,
costumes and more. Auditions to their shows are open to all with no
restrictions. Additional information is available at www.hudsonplayers.com
