Conservatory Outreach music and arts for all ages!

We have a variety of class and ensemble opportunities for children and adults of all ages. Listed below are our class and ensemble offerings, no audition required. Feel free to contact us with any questions and to register! x2365 or conreach at bw.edu<mailto:conreach at bw.edu>.

Beginning in February
Triple Threat Music Theatre Ensemble<http://www.bw.edu/academics/conservatory/outreach/classes/triplethreat/>, for grades 4-10
Students will improve their singing, acting and dancing skills
Saturdays, beginning February 2

Suzuki Violin<http://www.bw.edu/academics/conservatory/outreach/prep/suzuki/>, for ages 4 and up
Through weekly private lessons, group classes and strong parent involvement, students learn to play the violin as a member of musical family much like learning their first language
Group classes on Thursdays or Saturdays beginning February

For those interested to learn playing the violin through the Mark O'Connor fiddling method
Mondays, beginning February 11

BW Fiddling Ensemble<http://www.bw.edu/academics/conservatory/outreach/fiddle/>, for ages 12 to adult
For students looking to continue their study of fiddling through the Mark O'Connor method in an ensemble setting

Parents will work together with their children to learn the basics of piano
Tuesdays or Saturdays, beginning February 12

Music+Rhythm+Movement<http://www.bw.edu/academics/conservatory/outreach/prep/dalcroze/>, for ages 3 to 6 years
Dalcroze exercise help children develop coordination and musical expression
Wednesdays or Saturdays, beginning February 13 and 16

Children begin learning early the healthy way to sing

Encourages young children's natural desire to move, dance and imagine with their caregiver

Adults learn the piano in a group class setting

Musical Kaleidoscope<http://www.bw.edu/academics/conservatory/outreach/classes/Kaleidoscope/>, for infants to early elementary children with special needs
Board certified-music therapist led; builds skills with music
Thursdays, beginning February 21

Beginners of all ages are trained on the basics of guitar
Mondays, beginning February 25

Learn to play violin, viola, cello, or bass; perfect for those with no experience or for those who played during their school days. Intermediate and advanced level orchestras also available.

For adults interested in playing a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument; perfect for those with no experience or for those who played during their school days. Intermediate and advanced level bands also available.
