The 39 Steps by Patrick Barlow

"Seeking comedic, versatile actors, capable of multi-character work."

Tuesday, February 5 starting at 7 p.m.

Synopsis: Spies, espionage, mysterious women and deadly men take centre stage in this boisterous comedy/mystery and Broadway hit. A loving tribute and entertaining spinoff of the 1935 film by Alfred Hitchcock, The 39 Steps follows hapless hero Richard Hannay as he finds himself thrust into a dangerous adventure. He stumbles upon a plot to smuggle top secret information out of the country to aid England’s enemies. Four actors (3 men and 1 woman play who play dozens of different roles) and creative staging provide audiences with marvelous fun as Barlow’s adaptation pays homage (through a loving spoof) of Hitchcock’s masterpiece.

Rehearsals will begin Sunday, March 24. They will generally be M-F 7pm-10pm and one weekend day TBD.
