[NEohioPAL] ACT seeks paid producer for Children's Summer Workshop

Seeks experienced producer for 

Children's Summer Workshops 2013

 

ACT will offer two workshops of two weeks: Workshop A July 21 - Aug 3 and Workshop B Aug 4 -August
17. Each Workshop is open to children entering grades 2 through 9 in Fall 2013. Children will learn
acting, singing, dancing and all facets of staging a performance including rehearsal, props,
costumes and makeup culminating in a full performance for an audience.  

 

Producer's responsibilities include:

*         Overseeing and managing outreach including all mailings in late February and early March

*         Managing all registration and permission forms including distribution, collection and
filing.

*         Organizing and administering registration process

o        Distribution of permission forms

o        Interaction with parents whose children are placed on waiting lists

o        Audition process

*         Recruiting, hiring and evaluating of all paid teen-age counselors and all volunteer
counselors-in-training

*         Developing and managing budget in cooperation with ACT Board of Trustees. 

o        Approving all expenses and payments 

o        Compiling final budget report

*         Procuring facility space for performances and practices and managing facility cleaning
tasks

*         Developing curriculum and daily lessons plans consistent with mission of the Children's
Workshop

*         Supervising staff and participants daily during each workshop and interacting with parents

*         Assisting artistic director, choreographer and other key personnel to recruit volunteer
parents for workshop tasks (costumes, set construction, etc.)

*         Managing sale of ads for program booklet

*         Overseeing ticket sales (pre-show and performance day box office) and intermission sales

*         Overseeing cast parties including purchasing refreshments, securing food donations and
volunteers 

*         Maintaining all workshop information in notebook/binder

*         Administering and compiling workshop evaluations at conclusion of each workshop
