*"FAIDS*" – A biting yet heartfelt new play about the journey and
experiences of HIV/AIDS patients. Show runs May 2nd – May 19th, Thursday –
Sunday nights. Rehearsals start March 10 and will be held Sunday and
Tuesday evenings; and every night April 28th - May 1st.  Actors will not be
called to every rehearsal.


 Actors should prepare a 30-second dramatic monologue and will do cold
readings from the script.

Master of Ceremonies (MC) – Any age, male and/or female. MC of a coffee
house open-mic night.

Songwriter – Any age, male or female, Performer at open-mic. MUST PLAY
GUITAR WELL.

Danny – 20-30 years old, homosexual male.  AIDS patient, poet at open-mic.

Heckler – Any age, homophobic male. Audience member/performer at open-mic.
NEED NOT PLAY INSTRUMENT.

Chris – Any age, homosexual male. Audience member who lost a partner to
AIDS.

Doctor – Any age, male or female. Diagnosing a patient with AIDS.

Jane – Late 30-s, female. Audience member who is not informed on issues of
HIV/AIDS.

Bill – 20-30 years old, homosexual male. Danny’s partner.

Michael – Any age, male. Audience member who is an AIDS patient.

Andrew – Any age, homosexual male. Chris’ partner.

AIDS Activist – Any age, male and/or female.
