[NEohioPAL] Auditions for the 2013 All - City Musical Ragtime at the Akron Civic Theatre

The Akron Civic Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for the second
annual All-City Musical.  

 

This year's production will be the Tony Award winning musical, Ragtime,

which will be presented at the Akron Civic Theatre on June 14 and June 15,
2013.

 

The 2013 All-City Musical is expanded to include high school aged students
from throughout Summit County.  

 

Auditions are open to current students, ages 14 - 18, grades 9 - 12 of
Summit County public and private high schools and age appropriate
home-schooled students. 

 

Audition dates are Sunday, March 24 (2:30 PM) and Monday, March 25 (6:30 PM)
at the Sandefur Theatre in Guzetta Hall on the campus of The University of
Akron.  Auditions are by appointment only and must be scheduled by calling
330-535-3179 between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM weekdays.  

Call back auditions will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.  

 

The cast will feature a large extensive ensemble with many speaking/singing
parts; minimal dancing is required.  All performers should prepare a
Broadway-style song of at least 12 bars, but not more than 16 bars.  A
movement audition will be held as a part of call-backs. 

 

Each auditioning student will be asked for a list of all potential schedule
conflicts.
