        Bessie’s story does ‘take you back’ if you’re old enough to remember, or heard your older relatives talkabout,“Hooch” and “Rent Parties.” Bessie intersperses her personal, performance and traveling experiences with her band, Jim Hankins as “Pickle,” on bass, George Caldwellon piano, and Keith Loftis on saxophone. (And you won’t believe what he and Bessie do with that sax.  It brings the house down.)
