FULL GALLOP PLAY

Live Theater Returns to the Historic G.A.R. Hall

(Peninsula, Ohio)— After a nearly 40-year hiatus, the Peninsula Valley Historic & Education Foundation will revive theater at the G.A.R. Hall on Thursday, April 4, 2013. Matty Sayre of Richfield will present a professional theater production of Full Gallop, written by Mark Hampton and Mary Louise Wilson. Pat Robertell-Hudson stars as Diana Vreeland, the fabulously famous columnist of Harper’s Bazaar and editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine until 1971.

This two-actress staging features Ms. Vreeland in a dialogue with her (offstage) assistant, Yvonne, played by Sharon Shaffer. The play is centered around her recent dismissal from Vogue and incites her reaction as she prepares to move into the next phase of her life at the Metropolitan Museum.

The two-act play begins at 7:30pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm. Light suppers will be available to purchase for early arrivals. The play admission is $15.00 presale for non- members ($12.00 presale for members) or $18.00 at the door ($15.00 for members at the door). To purchase presale tickets, call Rebecca at 330-657-2528 or visit peninsulahistory.org/full-gallop. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the performing arts in the Cuyahoga Valley. The G.A.R. Hall is located at 1785 Main Street (Route 303) in Peninsula.
