[NEohioPAL] Former local actor produces feature film!

 Hello NEOhioPAL's!

I'm Adam Kern, born and raised in N. Canton, OH, a former actor and ASM at theatre's across Northeast Ohio, from the Canton Players Guild, to Porthouse to the JCC Halle. 

I'm producing my first feature film, The Victims, a dark comedy about the Palestinian - Israeli conflict -  that manages to not choose sides politically. The film is based on an award winning play written by a colleague of mine from New York.

I'm in the final two days of my initial funding campaign, which will allow me to set up my LLC and hire an entertainment lawyer and basically set up shop. Once that's done, I can start approaching film investors. I currently have a co-producing team whom I can't announce until contracts are signed, but they'll bring their Emmy Award winning background to our project.

We're currently at about 82% of our funding - if you have an extra $5, $10 even $20, please consider becoming an investor - Anyone that invests in the indiegogo campagin becomes an investor in the film, so if the film makes a profit, so will you!

For those of you that don't know much about me, I'm a BFA Music Theatre grad from Kent State (Stark and Kent Campus), and hold my MFA from the American Repertory Theatre / Moscow Art Theatre Institute at Harvard University. I'm also a former TS Eliot Fellow at the Old Vic, in London, under Kevin Spacey. My producing and associate producing creditsinclude a series of short films called ThePilot Season Survival Guide; concerts: AThong for Hope (BC/EFA), Drinkingwith Music, a musical cabernet; Bard, Band & Boozed: a night [in:verse];Love Springs Occasional; and plays Rehearsal for Murder, and Hamlet (Empirical Rogue). Works indevelopment include The Water Dream –a new musical by Shawn Cody, starring Anthony Rapp
