Yes, it's hard to believe right now... but spring is coming! So green up and party with Jim Carr and Pitch the Peat!
The dynamic Northeast Ohio band, specializing in acoustic Irish, folk and contemporary music
both rollicking and sweet, performs Friday, April 26 in a handsome Shaker Heights home just
right for a cozy evening of lively music. 
Members include Jim Carr (eight-string guitar, bodhran and vocals), Nikki Custy (fiddle, djembe
and vocals) and Patrick Custy (Irish flute, accordion and vocals). Together as Pitch the Peat, 
they explore the vibrant connections between the vast wealth of Celtic music and the material
of modern-day artists ranging from the Beatles and Gipsy Kings to Sting and Coldplay.  
The fun begins at 7 p.m. with food and drink, followed at 8 p.m. by Pitch the Peat's performance. 
Tickets are $30 ($25 for SHAC members) and include refreshments. (The full address of the
Shaker Boulevard residential venue will be provided to ticket buyers.) Tickets may be purchased
by credit card at www.shakerartscouncil.org or by check made out to Shaker Arts Council and
mailed to PMB 232, 16781 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Heights, OH 44120.
