Between the Lines: Play Reading with Cleveland Play House 
Wednesday, April 3 at 7 pm

Rich Girl, by Victoria Stewart    
When sheltered Claudine meets starving artist Henry, she falls head over heels. But her mother, a celebrated tough-talking financial guru, has her doubts: Is Henry everything her daughter deserves or is he only after her money? Rich Girl, a modern day take on the classic play and film The Heiress, is a clever new comedy about women and their relationships with men, mothers and money – and not necessarily in that order. First, check out and read the script. Then, Corey Atkins of the Cleveland Play House Artistic Staff will lead a lively discussion of the play itself, and help you read "between the lines" to explore how directors, actors, and designers put their skills to use in taking a play from the page to the stage.

Learn about CPH's New Ground Theater Festival. New Ground features new work by nationally recognized playwrights and works by exciting new voices. Come get a close up look at what it takes to bring theater new to the page to new on the stage.

The Lyons by Nicky Silver
Rita Lyons is the indomitable matriarch of a dysfunctional family at a major crossroads. Her husband is dying, her son is in a dubious relationship and her daughter is barely holding it together. And worst of all, she can't figure out how to redesign her living room. Join Artistic Director Nathan Motta-also director of The Lyons- and other Dobama staff for a discussion of the play, the production and the world of theater.
