[NEohioPAL] CAMEO AUDITIONS: WIZARD OF OZ and SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD

CAMEO proudly announces auditions for its summer musicals, Wizard of Oz and Songs for a New World.  The Wizard of Oz will feature a large, diverse cast of all ages. Songs for a New World will include a small, powerhouse, multi-ethnic cast of men and women vocalists ages 18-50.  Performances for Oz (July 19-28) and Songs (August 9-18) will be in the beautiful Medina Performing Arts Center. 
 
Auditions for both shows will be held simultaneously April 13-14 at the Garfield North Arts Complex (formerly the Grace Drake Center for the Arts), 222 S Broadway, Medina, Ohio. Children entering grades 2-8 may audition for Oz on Saturday, April 13 from 10am-3pm.  Students entering high school and adults may audition April 13, 4-10pm and other adults (ages 18+) may audition Sunday, April 14, 1:30-6:30pm.  You will not be cast in both shows, and can specify a preference if interested in just one of the productions. 
 
Prepare 16 bars of a musical theatre piece in the style of one of the two shows. Those auditioning for Songs for a New World are strongly urged to prepare a song from the show. Please bring your resume, headshot, and music clearly marked, as an accompanist will be provided. A cappella auditions are discouraged. You will not be asked to dance.
 
Songs for a New Worldcallbacks will be help Saturday, April 20th 11am-1pm.  Callbacks for Oz will be Sunday April 21, 1-5pm. 
 
Rehearsals begin for The Wizard of Oz on June 8 and for Songs for a New World on June 23, and will take place Sunday through Thursday. Please bring a complete list of rehearsal conflicts at the time of auditions.
