The Lorain County Children's Pioneer Theatre is looking for a Costumer, Music Director and a Production Assistant.  The Production Assistant is new and a complete description of this job is below.  For complete information about all openings and the program, visit our website at:

A PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES



The Production Assistant reports directly to the Executive
Coordinator.  The PA will be responsible for assisting in group
activities for all age groups during the rehearsal process and any
tasks assigned by the Executive Coordinator.  This could include,
small group instruction, assisting the costumer, tech director, or
director during the run of the program.  The following is a list of
specific items that need to be done and a time frame for
accomplishing your tasks.  The Production Assistant has no financial
oversight responsibilities.  All promises of payment and/or gifts are
to be approved by the Executive Coordinator BEFORE being made.



BEFORE
REHEARSALS BEGIN



___Read the play

___Meet with the Executive Coordinator to review ideas and
expectations of the production

___Prepare activities for groups you will lead during auditions the
first week of camp. 

___Attend all staff meetings arranged by the Executive Coordinator to
review daily schedule and             	workshop expectations. 

___Attend Load-in of all necessary supplies from the storage barn to
the rehearsal space.



DURING
AUDITIONS



___Lead groups waiting to audition in various activities such as
improv games, review theater terms, 	and any other activity requested
by the executive coordinator.

___Assist students while rotating to next session



DURING THE
FIRST WEEKS OF REHEARSAL



___Meet with the production team daily.

___Perform tasks as assigned by the executive coordinator.  These
will include: assisting costumer in 	taking measurements of cast,
assisting tech director with morning workshops, leading the 	groups
to each session.



DURING THE
MID-REHEARSAL PERIOD



___Continue to meet with production team daily.

___Continue to assist where executive coordinator deems necessary. 
Now may be asked to create prop 	list, assist director during
blocking and rehearsal, or assist the business manager in creating
the 	program.



DURING
TECHNICAL REHEARSAL WEEK



___Assist in loading and transporting the set to the performance
space.

___Assist in cleaning the rehearsal space.

___After each rehearsal, check with tech director to help reset stage
and props.



DURING THE RUN
OF THE SHOW



___Arrive at the performance facility in accordance with the facility
staff call time schedule.

___Check with executive coordinator for any tasks that may need to be
done.  This could include 	assisting the tech director set the stage,
help with raffle/ticket sales in the lobby before the show, 	or
supervise and assist cast in getting ready for the show.

___After each performance, make sure cast has put costumes away and
check with tech director to help 	with the set/props.



DURING AND
AFTER SET STRIKE



___Assist in striking set and removing set pieces, gathering costumes
and props to be loaded onto the 	truck for transport to storage
facility.

___Attend load-out, including unloading at the storage facility where
you will receive your final 	paycheck.
