 DANCEVERTpresents “Geometry In Motion, “ a StudentLecture Demonstration at 1:00 pmintroducing new educational programming followed by a 7:30 pm Concert premiering the newly titled work at the ShoreCultural Centre on Friday May 3, 2013. Located at 291 East 222 St., Euclid Oh44123.
 
Danceverthas maintained its dedication to arts-integrated educational programming, and in recent years obtained unprecedentedsuccess with the Partners in Educationprogram of the John F. Kennedy Center forthe Performing Arts, and with FacingEast Music Productions in Washington D.C. 
 
The1:30 pm Student Lecture Demonstration willinclude a creative character to support the concepts of geometry and dance with“Mr. Tom, the dance man,” sharing his passion for geometry and his art ofmotion.
 
The 7:30 pm concert will bean evening program illuminating the principles of dance and geometry, “GeometryIn Motion.” The evening performance will touch on an aspect of geometry knownas sacred geometry in which, the beginnings of simple circular patterns arerevealed dimensions of our world.  A castof 5 dancers including:  founding membersTom Evert, Susana Weingarten and Nick Carlisle, as well as Former ClevelandBallet and Elliot Feld Ballet dancer Megan Haas, and the bright young talent,Martha Bellamy. 
 


Weingarten will premiere a solo that opens the programas well as a duet with Evert  withmovement concepts from the geometric universe. The program will also include a performanceby The University of Akron Dance Company, whom with Evert has been working withalso with GIM,

DANCEVERTwas founded in Cleveland Ohio as The Tom Evert Dance Company. The company isunder the leadership of Tom Evert, former member of New York's Paul Taylor Dance Company and SusanaWeingarten, former member of Ballet Independiente deMexico.
