PERICLES is currently being
staged in Massachusetts by
The Actors’ Shakespeare
Project and in California by
Berkley Repertory
Theatre.  The Ohio production of
PERHAPS, PERICLES concludes
it’s run this weekend
at Kennedy’s,
PlayhouseSquare, in a new adaptation at
Cesear’s Forum.  Criticism and interpretation of
PERICLES is based on a flawed
text and questions of
authorship, collaboration and
style.  Productions of the
play permit a wide range of
interpretation based on
cultural/directorial points
of view.  Still, the play is
infrequently produced and
while “heard of,” relatively
unknown.   Fran
Heller in her Cleveland Jewish News
review writes: “The play is a
seriocomic look at one of
Shakespeare’s most convoluted
plots.”  Of the PERHAPS,
PERICLES production; “The
two-act, 90 minute production
is also about the art of
making theatre.  It proves that
good acting, minimalism and a
hefty imagination are all
that’s needed for a pleasant
evening of condensed
Shakespeare, upfront, close
and personal.”  Through
Saturday, May 4th,
tickets $15. 216-241-6000 or
